THIRD ANNUAL PASADENA HALF MARATHON & 5K AT THE ROSE BOWL WELCOMES KECK MEDICINE OF USC AS OFFICIAL MEDICAL PARTNER
World-Renowned Academic Medical Center Provides Runner Support for 2019 Family-Friendly Race, Which Includes Medical Q&A Series of Facebook Chat & Live Events Starting December 5th
- Keck Medicine of USC will provide an exclusive medical Q&A series on Facebook Live as part of their partnership with the Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K, one of the fastest growing local running events in southern California.
LOS ANGELES, CA – Nov. 10, 2018 – Conqur Endurance Group announced today the partnership with leading health care provider Keck Medicine of USC for the third annual Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K at the Rose Bowl event, taking place at the world-renowned Pasadena Rose Bowl on January 20, 2019, with Carl Chudnofsky, MD, chair and professor of emergency medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, acting as race Medical Director. This partnership enhances the company’s commitment to provide runners with a high-quality running experience and to promote an active and healthy lifestyle. The Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K at the Rose Bowl serves as an opportunity for runners of all levels to kick-off their 2019 resolutions to lead a healthier lifestyle. Registrations are now open.
As the official health care provider of the 2019 Pasadena Half Marathon & 5K at the Rose Bowl, Keck Medicine will provide race day medical expertise to runners, which includes five medical aid stations along the course led by volunteer physicians, nurses and staff.
In addition, Keck Medicine will offer an exciting pre-event education series on Facebook Live, where runners will have the opportunity to interact with Keck Medicine physicians in a Q&A series and gain injury-prevention, race day success and recovery tips for experienced and new distance runners.

Last year’s race drew over 10,000 runners and we expect to surpass that field number in 2019. It is always our goal to provide our runners with top-notch medical expertise. The first Facebook live chat, scheduled for Dec. 5, 2018 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., will be led by Eric Tan, MD, assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and will focus on injury prevention.
